I will never forget this day. In preparation to moving, Scott built shelves in my utility closet. He did this so I would have a pantry. I love this apartment, but there isn't a lot of storage space, so trying to make different angles and stuff. Scott also hung a thing for my broom, mop, etc and also built and hung a vanity for my bathroom. I am ever so grateful to him. Having this pantry will make ALL the difference in the world. The essence of water in the pantry are waters Scott gave me for Mother's Day! I LOVE the pantry, the shelves look awesome. I'm SOOOOO grateful to Scott, more than words can say.
YAY my new place. I LOVE IT! Can't wait until I am moved. Not too much longer.
YAY! My move is almost here and getting closer and closer. I went and picked up my keys to my new apartment today. I just love it there, I can't wait to get moved in. Ran all kinds of errands to get ready and packed up a bit. Also, mom and Barb stopped in to give me a souvenir from Washington DC from their trip back for the Memorial for Charlie. Pic is kinda blurry of the keys... oh well! It's at least a memory :)
Today was incredibly special. My great friend growing up - GR Waldron is in town and we went and had dinner together. He has been in Southern Utah and suddenly I got a message saying he was in SLC area and could I meet him somewhere for dinner. He, Laurel and I spent tons of time together and had a blast. I found out through Amy (Laurel's niece that has stayed in touch with GR all these years) that his dad passed away a few months ago and I was able to attend the viewing. Other than that, I haven't seen GR in almost 30 years. I feel bad that I forgot to get a picture with him. We went to Bohemian Brewery. We had a fantastic time and just sat and talked for an hour and a half, to catch up. He looks FANTASTIC. I really enjoyed my time with him. What a neat guy he is. He seems so happy. :)
I stopped watching 24 a few weeks ago as I was a little burned out of it. I saw some things about it and got into it again. I spent part of today catching up on 24 just to discovered the season finale is tomorrow - a 2 hour special. So I'm glad I caught up :) Didn't realize it was so close to ending.
Mike is in California and currently at Disney Land. He just sent me this photo of him on Splash Mountain. He sent me a text and said he has just ridden Pirates of the Caribbean, which happens to be my favorite. He said he was thinking of me while going on it. Neat pic :)
I felt so bad for Scott today. He lost his job. He has only had it for 3 months and was looking for a job 6 months before that. He is so down. He didn't want to be alone so came over. I had some errands to run and while at the store Scott came to the register with O'Douls and Beef Jerky. (O'Doul is non-alcoholic beer). Two things to help him escape :) Poor guy. I hurt so much for him. Life can be hard at times. We watched a movie and that helped him not think about his troubles. He has been in my prayers.
Scott and I went to a movie tonight right after work.
I babysat Garret tonight. I'm amazed at how much he is starting to play with toys and pick them up. It's so cute. He was so much fun tonight. Sarah and Ben popped in for a bit as well. Garret is so precious.
Sylvia at work made something called "Fudge Twinkies"... YIKES! She made fudge that went over Twinkies and then M&M's over it. Talk about rich and NOTHING is rich for me... but this sure was. I barely survived a bite.
Tonight we went to Spencer and Stephanie's for family night. The only ones who could come was Mike and I plus them. Hopefully more next time. We are doing lessons out of "Preach My Gospel" in preparation for Mike's mission. We will do this every other week until Mike goes on his mission. Garret was such a sweet and good little boy :)
Today is Mother's Day. Sarah and Ben came over for a while and visited and brought me a gift. Part of the gift was this beautiful bracelet. I just love it. Later I went and had dinner and Spencer and Stephanie's. They invited me for Mother's Day. Spence made dinner. Garret was in his cute little suit for the first time. What a handsome little boy :) Mike came to visit later and said his gift was to take me to lunch or dinner, which we did later in the week at Rumbi Island Grill. YUM! Nice Mother's Day.
Today Sarah and Ben came over and played games. We had a good time. I had some things for Sarah to take home in behalf of all my packing to move. Ben tried on a clown hat that Sarah was taking in the Halloween box. He looked quite sheik :)
I have been packing all evening. Scott came over tonight and he made cookies. They were YUM!
Today the Utah Peace Officers Associations held a Memorial for Charlie. His name was put on the wall at the State Capital. This is for all fallen officers. It was very special. Charlie was awarded a Purple Heart. It made me cry and miss him so much. I love you, Charlie! You are my hero.
Scott sent me this pic today via text. I didn't take a pic today, so decided to post this. He took this at his mom's funeral. Today after work I babysat Garret :) He was so fun and so precious. He talked a lot and cooed and smiled and was a very happy boy. We went outside for a few minutes. He enjoyed this.
Spring has Sprung
Mike was ordained an elder today. What a special day. Spencer was able to ordain him which made it all the more special. I attended stake conference and Mike's name was called. I got to hold Garret for a lot of it :) After the mtg Mike was ordained and then we all went to Doug's and had cake. Barb, Mike, Colette, Scott came, plus our family. Plus several from Doug's family. It was a special day.
Today is Mike's birthday :) Happy Birthday 20 year old. My how time flies. We had dinner at Steph and Spencer's since my places is full of boxes for packing/moving. Mike chose carrot cake. YUM!
Today my oldest brother Tom graduated from Weber State University. I was so proud of him. It was a neat day. Jeff flew in to attend.
Today is Doug's birthday. The kids took Doug to dinner and sent this picture.
What a beautiful snowy day. We've had lots of snow and rain lately and it's been grand! :)
Today I had many errands to run for birthday's, mother's day, baby shower, etc, etc, etc. Glad to have this done as I had lots to get and do.

The family came over today and we had cake and played games :-)
Today was Scott's mom's funeral.
